  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes Cut into 1-inch pieces

Aromatics and Seasonings

  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Adds rich flavor
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped Enhances savory taste
  • 1 tbsp Fresh rosemary For earthy flavor
  • 1 tbsp Fresh thyme Adds aromatic profile

Preparation

  • Wash and cut potatoes into 1-inch pieces.
  • Trim excess fat from the chicken and cut it into even pieces.

Layering Ingredients

  • Place the chicken evenly in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Layer the potatoes on top of the chicken.
  • Sprinkle minced garlic, chopped onions, and herbs over the potatoes.
  • Pour in the broth or water, ensuring it coats the bottom, but does not cover the ingredients.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
  • Check halfway through cooking to adjust the temperature settings if necessary.

Notes

Customize with different seasoning blends. Serving with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad is recommended for side dishes.
